LEARNING OUTCOMES (SLOs):

By the end of this lesson, students will be able to:

1. Identify and name the four seasons in English.

2. Use basic English vocabulary to describe characteristics of each season.

 

MATERIALS:

·         Visual aids or images representing each season

·         Whiteboard and markers or a chalkboard and chalk


ACTIVITIES:

1. Introduction (5 minutes):

   - Begin by asking students if they know what "seasons" are. Encourage them to share their thoughts.

   - Explain that seasons are different times of the year with distinct weather and changes in nature.

 

2. Four Seasons Overview in English (5 minutes):

   - Show visual aids or images representing each of the four seasons: Spring, Summer, Fall (Autumn),         and Winter.

   - Ask students to identify and name each season in English.

 

3. Seasonal Characteristics (10 minutes):

   - Focus on one season at a time (start with Spring).

   - Describe the characteristics of Spring in simple English (e.g., flowers bloom, it gets warmer, days           become longer).

   - Ask students to repeat the characteristics in English.


4. Interactive Activity (5 minutes):

   - Engage students in a discussion about Summer, Fall (Autumn), and Winter, using basic English             words to highlight key characteristics for each season.

   - Encourage them to use English words for activities they like to do in each season.


5. Seasons Song (3 minutes):

   - Teach a simple seasons song in English that includes the names of all four seasons. Sing it together          as a class.

Assessment:

- Assess students' ability to identify and name the four seasons in English during the interactive                discussion.

- Listen to their responses in English about favourite seasons to gauge their understanding.
