Stages of writing

There are six stages of writing developments:

1. Preliterate drawing :- 

  • In this stage child utilize its drawing to start writing. 
  • He draws pictures of different things and can tell something about that, and match these picture with mother or other things in mind. 
  • We should try to read their writing if something is written on it and encourage them to write again . 
  • Imagine story in mind regard its drawing 

 2. Preliterate Scribbling :- 

  • Now the drawing is converts into careless writing . 
  • Child resemble its scribbling. • Here child look like writer. 
  • In this stage child can hold the pen and use like adult. 

3. Early emergent letter-like forms:- 

  • Now Its writing or shapes actually resembles with alphabetical letters, but still not an actual letters. 
  • Looks unique creation in writing . 

4. Emergent : Random -letter or letter string :- 

  • In this stage the writing of child is resembled or matched with actual alphabetical letters. 
  • He use some sequence of letter and mostly use letters which are existed In its name. 
  • He or she may write one letter in different ways. 
  • Still Unsequencial string of letters show in writing . 

5. Transitional , writing via invented spelling :- 

  • Now the change is coming in writing. 
  • Child invent its own spelling , with unknown conventional. 
  • Still spelling will not cover proper spelling. 
  • One letter represent on syllable or word in its writing. 
  • Words may overly or extent the spelling. 
  • There is a still lack of using proper spacing in its writing. 
  • Through practice more words are spelled mutually.In mature writing child omit one or two letters in words spelling. 

6. Fluency ; conventional spelling :- 

  • Now child’s writing totally resemble with adult writing. 
  • Coherence , clarity , rhythm , proper organization and error free writing .
