Technology and Educational Technology.

INFORMATION COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY :

All the new things created by humans to solve their problems and make their works easier. 

e.g.: technological devices, vehicles and all other machines. 

EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY:

The things invented by humans that make the teaching and learning process easier, effective and improving performance by using those technological resources: multimedia projector, computers, laptops, microphones, radios, document camera, interactive whiteboard etc.

 IMPLEMENTATION OF TECHNOLOGY IN EDUCATION: 

There are so many technological resources that are used in a classroom to make an active or effective learning environment. 

• MULTIMEDIA PROJECTOR: It is a technological resource that can project image, video and presentation on a large screen. Students learn maximum things through it as it allows them to learn both through the seeing and listening.
•  COMPUTER: It allow the students to make presentations, search any type of data, store their documents, calculating multiple things etc. 
• SMART/INTERACTIVE WHITE BOARD: Actually, it is a screen that interact with the image for project by touching the screen or using different markers. 
• MICRO PHONES: These are technological resources that transmit the voice to the loud speakers as each student in the classroom can easily listen and understand its teacher.

ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF TECHNOLOGY: 

❖ ADVANTAGES OF TECHNOLOGY: 

1. TIME SAVING: Through using the technological devices or machines, we can do our any work in short time. e.g. reach one place to another through vehicles, calculating multiple things through calculator device, do online business etc. 
2. GETTING KNOWLEDGE: Through using different type of technological devices, we can get knowledge about anything of this world easily. by the mobile phones, laptops, computers, multimedia etc. 
3. ENTERTAINMENT: Whenever people get bore, they watch different type of funny videos or play multiple games on the computer, laptop etc. to get entertainment. 
4. COMFORTABLE: Technology provide a comfortable environment in which we can do our any work easily. Like in the winter season either we are disturbed from coolness or in summer season if we are disturbed by hotness then we can use heater or air conditioner in order to make our environment comfortable for us. 
5. TRAVELLING: With the progress of technology, people can easily travel one place to another easily through using multiple vehicles rather than animals. 
6. ONLINE EDUCATION: Technology facilitates the students to get education online. There are so many applications through which we can learn things even at our homes: Edmodo, zoom app etc. 

❖ DISADVANTAGES OF TECHNOLOGY: 

1. DECREASING SOCIAL INTERACTIONS: if we will put a sight on the previous time then at that time people were meet and were communicate with each other whenever they got free but now in this technological period, people spend their most of time in using technological devices e.g.: mobile phones, laptops, tablets etc. In this way they do not communicate with each other and have fewer social skills. 
2. LAZINESS: First people were on their all were works with their own hands and that’s why they were too active but now they are using different devices or machines to do those same works and are too lazy. e.g. they are using cleaning machines to clean their homes, schools, offices or other places. They are using mills to grind the grains rather than hand mills, they are using thresher machines to thresh their fields, they are using computers, calculators to calculate etc. 
3. CYBER CRIMES: Through using different technological devices, people are doing cybercrimes like hacking. Mean they are stealing the personal data of others illegally. 
4. WASTAGE OF TIME: Now a days, people are using most of technological things and are wasting their time. They spend their time to watch television, computers, mobile phones etc. 
5. INCREASING DEATH RATE: As technology has been progressing in many forms, it is increasing the death rate.by using technological machines like vehicles, people are dead through the accidents. And cause by multiple signal system in air causing so many birds are going die.
